UK Scraps French Carrier

The ex-French Navy aircraft carrier Clemenceau (now know as hull Q790) is to be dismantled by Able UK following approval by the UK's Environment Agency. The 32,780-ton former flagship will be towed from Brest to the Seaton Port TERRC (Teesside Environmental Reclamation and Recycling Centre) in Hartlepool in early 2009.
