Destroyer Share Data

Two Arleigh Burke class destroyers shared ballistic missile tracking data with land based assets during the US Missile Defence Agency's test flight of ground launched midcourse interception system on 5 December 2009. USS Higgins and USS Benfold shared target data acquired by their AN/SPY-1D E/F band radar with the Beale Ballistic Missile Early warning Radar System in Nothern California, which used its X-band AN/TPY-2 radar system to track the target.
