Indian Air Force Will Receive 40 Su-30MKI

Indian Air Force will receive an additional 40 jet fighters Su-30MKI, under a contract that was signed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in 2007. Su-30MK is designed based on the Su-27UB, manufactured in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Irkutsk.

Under the agreement "transfer of technology" between HAL and Rosoboronexport, the HAL will buy Russia's technical kit for assembling aircraft in India. HAL has sent 3 Su-30MKI to the Indian Air Force, while the other fighter jet delivery between 2011 to 2012.
